Louie’s doting human says:

What can I say about Louie?  He’s short, dapper, and seems to dance as he walks along! He always greets visitors at the door to establish that he is the House King and must be given pets before anyone can get any further than the foyer. He loves people and like Will Rogers has never met a human that he doesn’t like, especially if they are handing out pets and treats! Squirrels, however, are the bane of Louie’s existence. They entice him then just as he is getting close, they run up the tree and taunt him from above– such bad manners! Louie is a discerning fellow, and as such absolutely refuses to walk in the rain– he hunkers down and somehow anchors himself to the sidewalk until his attendants come to their senses and carry him to a dry place! Yes, he is a stubborn little cuss, with a multifaceted personality and a lot of spunk, and we wouldn’t give him up for anything.

Each and every one of our Midtown Mutts staff has had the pleasure of walking Louie, and we can all attest to his roguish charm and gotta-have-it-all attitude. During our visits, he frequently enjoys strolling through the Fab Forties, saying hello to those enjoying their coffee at Chocolate Fish, and exploring East Portal Park– provided it isn’t raining, of course! When he deems it appropriate, we’re always happy to carry him wherever he needs to go, and treat him like the little Yorkshire prince that he is. Good thing he’s pocket-sized!

Congratulations, Louie! We all look forward to our next walks with you!!
